Tom Felton of ‘Harry Potter’ fame collapses at the Ryder Cup

SHEBOYGAN, Wisconsin (AP) – British actor Tom Felton, known for his portrayal of Draco Malfoy in the “Harry Potter” films, collapsed while playing at a celebrity golf show Thursday at the Ryder Cup.

Ryder Cup organizers only said Felton suffered “a medical incident” at Whistling Straits and was taken to a local hospital for treatment. They did not provide any other information.

Felton was on the 18th hole when he fell. He was helped up, placed on a stretcher and taken to a golf cart. He turned 34 on Wednesday.

Felton represented Europe at the Celebrity Match, which takes place the day before the Ryder Cup kicks off by the United States and Europe.

He has appeared in a number of films, including eight films in the “Harry Potter” series.
