Accio, cocktail!
San Antonio fans of a certain bespectacled wizard can prepare for a Harry Potter-themed pub crawl hosted by local cocktail guru Jeret Peña on Thursday, November 18.
The event was canceled in 2020 due to the pandemic, but Peña says he’s sure fans of the books – and alcohol specials – will make up for lost time.
“I am so excited to continue the tradition of the Harry Potter pub crawl, especially with these bars,” Peña told the Running. “It’s my favorite event to organize every year. ”
The pub crawl will take participants to four bars in the city center, each corresponding to a specific wizarding house from the Harry Potter series. Gryffindors will want to flock to Peña’s new concept, the Three Star Bar, while rival Slytherins can flock to the Rumble on St. Mary’s Strip. The people of Ravenclaw will feel welcome at Pearl’s Blue Box, while the Hufflepuffs will be eagerly awaited at Hello Paradise.
Each of the bars will have a special cocktail menu for the evening, which will be teased before the event.
The crawl, now in its sixth year, will run from 9:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m.
