The Ringwald Theater has announced its return to live theater AND its return to Ferndale! After a long, very long intermission, The Ringwald’s motley group of innovative, campy and simply talented folxes will resume their decade and a half of theatrical creation in Ferndale and continue, albeit in a new location.
Opening October 15 in their new home inside Affirmations LGBTQ + Community Center in Ferndale, The Ringwald presents Puffs! The New York Times proclaims Puffs, “A QUICK ROMP through the” increasingly hectic seven years in a certain school of magic and wizardry. ” For the POTTERphiliacs who grew up alongside Potter and can’t wait to revisit this world … “
This clever and inventive piece “Never Goes More Than a Minute Without Laughing” (Nerdist) gives you a new take on a familiar adventure from the perspective of three would-be heroes just trying to get through a school of magic that turns out to be very dangerous for children. Next to them are the Puffs, a group of well-meaning and loyal aliens who have a soft spot for badgers. Their epic and hilarious journey takes classic history to new places and reinvents what a boy wizard hero can be.
