Reporter prevented from asking Tom Felton about JK Rowling mid-interview

A journalist has been arrested after asking Tom Felton a question about Harry Potter author JK Rowling.

However, amid warm musings on the franchise and retelling of some of the best moments, JK Rowling was notably absent.

A recent interview between Sky News and Tom Felton showed the awkward moment a member of the PR team stepped in when the reporter asked about Rowling.

Felton spoke to Sky’s Claire Gregory at the launch of a new feature film about mandrakes and magical creatures at Warner Brothers Studios.

However, the reporter was cut off when she asked the actor, “You’re still very good, you and the other stars of the movie, are still very good the face of the franchise, if you will.

“You know, we talk to you and hear you guys. And […] you are asked all the time. JK obviously has some sort of backseat now.

“Is it strange that she’s not here for things like that?”

Gregory’s question can be heard in the video along with a quick interjection from a PR member.

“Next question please,” can be heard saying off camera.

The PR firm later said Sky News via email: “JK Rowling is not related to Warner or Tom Felton, the team felt this was not relevant to the article.”

Although she wrote the popular novel – which has become the third best-selling novel of all time – Rowling has drawn backlash in recent years for her comments about the trans community.

She has also been criticized for write a book about a male serial killer disguised as a woman.

A lot of Harry Potter the actors, including Felton, no longer respond to authorship questions.

Indeed, in my own interview with Felton just a few weeks ago, the PR firm that organized the chat strictly warned against mentioning his name.

While it’s unclear whether Rowling can be canceled due to the controversy that continues to surround her, Mina and Eduardo Lima, who worked on the films as illustrators, believe that Harry Potter world will live even without its original creator.

Mina said: “The wizarding world has become so established now, what she has done is commission creative minds to tell their version of her worlds, our book is just one of those manifestations. as well, so it’s almost like she’s done her genie and now she’s got her hands over the wand.”

The relay is now carried by the stars of the franchise, such as Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, Rupert Grint and Tom Felton – who remained very beloved in the eyes of Harry Potter fans – and, of course, the Potterheads themselves.
