The author posted the tweet at 7:16 p.m. last night and it has already garnered a high level of engagement.
She has been “liked” over 16,600 times and retweeted over 2,600 times by her followers.
Ms Rowling is not the only one celebrity to react to controversial comments by Mr. Kruger.
Author and journalist Caitlin Moran called on the woman to “remember this man’s name”, before adding in another tweet: “I’ll say it again – it would be much more logical and effective to subject all teenagers to a vasectomy, reversed only when they decide to have children, than to restrict the right of women and girls – especially those who have been raped – to decide whether or not to become mothers.”
