She was born on August 4, 1990 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. She graduated in 2008 from Ripley Central School. Jen also attended Finger Lakes Community College. She earned her private pilot’s license from Jamestown Community College’s aviation program.
Jen was pursued in death by her grandparents David Wachtman, Josephine Fidler and Roland “Son” Bird; and his sister, Kate Jackson.
Jen is survived by her parents, Delise (Ron) Jackson and Paul (Marcie) Bird; grandparents, Sally Bird and Les and Corky Rice; siblings: Emily Bird, Megan (Nick) Thompson, Cody (Ashton) Bird, Allyson Bird (Austin Davis), Kyle Best, Savana Jackson, Oliver Bird, Jonas Bird, and Eleanor Bird; aunts and uncles: Davett (Dave) McClain, Don (Brenda) Bird, Dorie (Ron) Brown, Danny Bird and Lorrie (Andy) Knickerbocker; and nieces and nephews: Paisley, Charlotte and Roland; and, as Jen would say, a plethora of loving cousins.
Jen was well known for her beautiful smile and infectious laugh. An avid reader, she has always had a love affair with books. She was known to read three and four books at a time. His favorite was the Harry Potter series. Jen adored and enjoyed spending time with her huge family. She loved the outdoors, animals, travel, softball and writing.
Sharing all that is special about Jen would take more words than all the books she has read.
