Fantastic Beasts Could Kill Harry Potter For Good

With the upcoming release of the latest Fantastic Beasts movie, Harry Potter fans are waiting to see which parts of the legendary series will be torn apart, writes Duncan Lay.

With just a month to go until Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets Of Dumbledore hits theaters, fans are on the edge of their seats – wondering which part of the Harry Potter legend will he be wiping his ass on this season? time.

This prequel film series, of which there are apparently two more to come, attempted to “fix” perceived problems with the original Harry Potter stories…in the same way cutting your legs will “fix” the sting of mosquito on your knee.

Perhaps the best thing you can say about this film is that its build is slightly less controversial than the last, The Crimes of Grindelwald.

Still, that’s like saying that Vladimir Putin is a little less evil than Stalin. That’s a pretty low bar to cross.

The bigger question is whether Dumbledore (Jude Law) is going to come out as gay okay. The books certainly didn’t make it clear – so to speak.

But once author Joanne “JK” Rowling began to face Twitter heat for a lack of gay and colorful characters on the show, instead doing what the savviest billionaires would have done and had them. ignored, she began to rewrite her own work.

To hear him speak, there was a whole series of deleted scenes where Harry walked into Dumbledore’s office and found the Headmaster being bent over the Pensieve by a muscular dark wizard.

Now, Fantastic Beasts 3 is only rated PG-13 in America, so I guess Dumbledore and Grindelwald (Mads Mikkelsen) won’t be messing with each other’s chopsticks.

But, between exploring the issue of being gay in a 1940s world that was more accepting of leprosy and foraying into the rise of wizarding fascism, it hardly feels like lighthearted children’s entertainment.

And that’s before you even get to the real problem. Most original Harry Potter fans are adults now, in their late teens and early twenties. And they were turned off by Rowling’s tweets about women’s rights and transgender people.

Now, it doesn’t matter if Rowling was right, wrong, or unfairly accused. The judge, jury and executioner that is the Twitterverse has rendered a decision and declared it transphobic. And that’s enough for the bulk of what his fans were. They did not read his long explanations.

They just saw the hashtag and turned off everything she did or will do.

I wonder if that’s why Harry Potter’s stage show The Cursed Child, which is brilliant and should be made into movies, has now cut its runtime in half to get more bums in the seats. The original fans did not show up as expected.

That’s certainly why The Crimes Of Grindelwald just made a profit. Rowling might think putting on as many gay, lesbian and colored characters as possible will “solve” things. Really, she locks the stable door after the horse Woke gallops off into the sunset to live happily ever after with the purple unicorn.

Ten years ago, Harry Potter was untouchable. The books were bestsellers and the movies were all smash hits. Rowling is riding a wave of love and money.

Now the unthinkable could happen. Having survived the worst Voldemort could throw at him, Harry Potter and his world could be killed by his creator.

So maybe it’s better if all your dreams don’t come true.
