Emma Watson’s torture scene was “disturbing for the crew”

Between the eight Harry potter movies, Emma Watson has no shortage of memorable scenes. Playing Hermione Granger gave the actor the opportunity to portray a wide range of emotions while she was on set. However, one of Watson’s most intense scenes has arrived. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 1 when Hermione was tortured by Bellatrix Lestrange, Death Eater, at Malfoy Manor.

Emma Watson has done tons of research for her turtle scene in “Harry Potter”

Potterheads, or superfans of the Harry potter movies, you should probably know that Watson has a lot in common with his character. So, it is not surprising that she took a very technical approach to prepare for the torture scene. She went into research and watched documentaries about people talking about what it was like to be tortured. With that done, she and Helena Bonham Carter, who played Bellatrix, discussed the scene in detail, even spending an hour designing Bellatrix’s handwriting.

Much of the torture scene was cut from the final cut

Obviously, Watson’s research for the scene paid off as she was able to truly deliver. Pretty amusing, Harry potter fans only saw a small portion of the scene Watson filmed. In an interview with Live About, the Noah The actor revealed that much of the scene did not make the final cut for the film. However, she understood why the majority ended up on the cutting room floor.

“I did a take and David [Yates, who directed the final four Harry Potter movies] left the camera rolling for about two minutes and just left me there screaming, ”Watson explained. “When I looked at the edit I was like ‘Wow.’ I mean, okay, you can’t have two minutes without me screaming. But I was like, ‘I’ve been doing this a lot longer than shown!’ “

Watson’s screams disturbed the ‘Harry Potter’ crew

Continuing, Watson shared that the scene was quite emotionally taxing for her to film. However, she knew she was doing well because even the Harry potter the crew members were overwhelmed by his incessant screams. “But, no, I think it was quite disturbing for the crew, which I was obviously delighted with because it showed that I was doing a good job,” he added. She was sort of exploring and exorcising demons, and serving the stage by doing it. I felt, then, and that day and in that play, that she had kind of crossed the line as an actress. She discovered something in her that will make her a great actress.

Obviously, Watson was willing to put it all on the line for this scene. We are sure Harry potter fans appreciate his dedication to bringing the infamous torture scene to life.
