It would be fair to say that Emma Watson, Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint have won the proverbial lottery. Their lives changed overnight when they were chosen as the golden trio in the Harry potter movies. After beating thousands of other kids, they landed the three biggest roles in blockbuster movies. Portraying Hermione Granger, Harry Potter and Rupert Grint would make the actors multimillionaires and household names.

Grint, Radcliffe, and Watson certainly had several overlapping experiences throughout the decade they filmed the Harry potter movies. Working from an early age allowed them to acquire a sense of independence very early on. However, Watson seemed to have even more freedom than his cast mates. After all, unlike Radcliffe and Grint, the Bling ring the actor had no parental supervision while working on the films.

Why didn’t Watson’s parents come with her?
But why didn’t Watson’s parents accompany her during her Harry potter shooting or promotion? According to Noah actor, lawyers had their own careers to focus on. âMy parents both worked full time and they didn’t want to do that, which I respect,â Watson said. âThey are both really motivated in their careers and as [they] are divorced, if my mother had gone on a trip with me, she would not have been there for my brother. It wasn’t really a possibility.

Not having a parental guardian meant that Watson had even more freedom than she did. Harry potter casting mates. Oddly enough, this freedom made her even more careful in her decisions. Rather than wanting to rebel, it made her more reliable. âIt’s a long way of saying I was responsible for myself, and being responsible for myself, I knew I was my own backstop,â Watson said. “I think I was too scared.”
Having so much freedom at such a young age could easily have sent Watson down the wrong path. Fortunately, the Harry potter alum came out of the franchise remarkably unscathed. Over the years, Watson has been frank that her parents didn’t know how to protect her from the overwhelming fame she received from the franchise. However, the actor appeared to find ways to protect himself and keep his peace throughout his career.
