brown toy box join an educational association DonorsChoose to expand educational offerings at school and inspire children to succeed in science, technology, engineering, arts and math (STEAM) careers. This partnership follows Brown Toy Box’s participation in the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) conference.

“What we confirmed last week at the ESEA Network conference in New Orleans is that schools and educators have an incredible thirst for culturally affirming products and content for their scholars,” says Terri-Nichelle Bradley, creator of Brown Toy Box. “We’re on a mission to disrupt generational poverty with STEAM Brown Toy Box kits and inspire a new generation of underserved children to unlock their potential.”

STEAM-focused toys and early exposure to various content featuring brown and black characters can expose children to positive portrayal and create interest in STEAM domains that can cultivate curiosity and demonstrate black excellence.

The new product line includes interactive STEAM kits, memory games, puzzles, activity books, story dice, window stickers, journals, and more. Each STEAM kit focuses on a particular theme such as astronomy, robotics, art, coding, chemistry and marine biology. The kit includes a do-it-yourself cut-out playable character figure with their own storyboard background, games, puzzles, activity book, and coloring pages.

Through this partnership, Brown Toy Box’s goal is to reach 100,000 students nationwide.
